Week 8 Comments and Feedback

I think the comments in feedback in this class are really helpful. It is great for me to get the comments that I can think about for my next story, or work on the revisions in those stories. I think the comments that are most helpful are the ones with suggestions to help either that story, or the next story. I have been trying to give constructive criticism, as well as point out the things I really like. This way, it may inspire some revisions, as well as keep the things that work really well, and look really great. It has been really cool to get to know the class in a different way, since we don't meet in person. But, reading everybody's writing and comments are a really cool way to get to know people in a different way.

I think this meme perfectly expresses how I feel in this class. It is easy for me to take criticism, because everybody is so helpful, and you can tell that everybody cares about each other's stories.

Introduction- Haley Weger

Hi! I'm Haley Weger and I am a senior this year, graduating in May. I'm from a suburb of Houston, called Friendswood. My parents just bought a house on a small island near Galveston, so the next time I go home I will be living there. I am a Journalism major, on the broadcast track, with a minor in Human Relations. The best part about my major is that I am involved in our student-run newsroom through Gaylord, so I get real-life practice being on camera. I have the chance to learn all of the ropes and exactly how a real newsroom is run before I graduate! Outside of my classes and OU Nightly, I am also involved in greek life and the OU spirit program. I am starting my fourth year on the OU Pom Squad, and am also a member of Tri Delta. I also work at Ada High School on the side, teaching their pom squad. Right now my favorite TV shows I'm watching are Yellowstone and Ozark, but my all time favorites are New Girl and Friends. In the future, I would like to become a news or sport...

Week 11 Story: The Evil Fish

The Evil Fish. Once upon a time, 12 little fish lived in a big giant pond. These fish were very very small, smaller than most perch or bait fish. The fish were all very timid, and scared of the big pond. The big pond was also a family member of theirs: their grandmother. But, the grandmother pond was not only inhabited by the 12 little fish. She also was the home to six big huge, evil garfish. These fish were mean, and they always tried to eat the little fish. They would chase the little fish and scare them. They would back them into corners of the pond, and separate them from the group of 12. The small fish had finally had enough. They begged their grandmother river to help them. She knew this would not be an easy task, as the garfish were surprisingly clever. But, she loved her grand-fish, and would do anything to help them.
