What I am most excited about with all of these readings is the wide variety. I think it is really cool that we are getting to learn about all different kinds of regions and areas. I am really excited for the Native American units. Being from Texas, and traveling to California a lot, I think I will find a lot of interest in that unit. The single unit that peaked my interest the most was Week 12: nursery rhymes. I have always loved nursery rhymes, and I am so excited to learn more about their origins and how they were all created. I am excited that we get to pick our own readings, and make a schedule for ourself. It is really helpful for me to see this whole semesters readings laid out, even if a few things change here and there.

Introduction- Haley Weger

Hi! I'm Haley Weger and I am a senior this year, graduating in May. I'm from a suburb of Houston, called Friendswood. My parents just bought a house on a small island near Galveston, so the next time I go home I will be living there. I am a Journalism major, on the broadcast track, with a minor in Human Relations. The best part about my major is that I am involved in our student-run newsroom through Gaylord, so I get real-life practice being on camera. I have the chance to learn all of the ropes and exactly how a real newsroom is run before I graduate! Outside of my classes and OU Nightly, I am also involved in greek life and the OU spirit program. I am starting my fourth year on the OU Pom Squad, and am also a member of Tri Delta. I also work at Ada High School on the side, teaching their pom squad. Right now my favorite TV shows I'm watching are Yellowstone and Ozark, but my all time favorites are New Girl and Friends. In the future, I would like to become a news or sport...

God named this fluffy puppy what you can imagine: Fluffy. Soon enough, Fluffy became lonely, and bored with no other creatures to play with. God decided to create another being, this time from Fluffy himself. By taking one of sweet Fluffy's ribs, God created Roxy: a loving companion for Fluffy. God decided on the rib, after thoughts of many different options during creation. Why not the mouth? Some might ask. Because if created from the mouth, Roxy would spend her life barking at everything. Why not the paw? Because Roxy would spend her ...
